Georgia played hard for 4 quarters this time in the SEC Championship. Aaron Murray did well except for the interception he threw in the first half. The D did well. But the Tide had about 350 yds rushing, with T.J. Yeldon and Eddie Lacy. They are both studs. Freshman are so ready to play now. Georgia got a crucial stop with about 2 minutes left in regulation. Aaron Murray then threw passes to Tavarus King and Artie Lynch to be 1st-and-tenon the 8-yard- line with 15 seconds left. So what do you do, spike it right? NO. I screamed at the TV for Murray to spike it.
Somehow that didn't happen, Murray got the call in and attempted a pass to Malcom Mitchell in the end zone. It was tipped by a Bama defender, but was somehow caught by Chris Conely. He was tackled right there and the clock ran out and Alabama won the SEC Championship and a berth in the BCS Title game in Miami. Alabama will beat Notre Dame who I think are so overrated.
If Georgia had one, they would basically be National Champions. I don't know if Georgia will be in this position again. But hey, We'll get to a good bowl, and hopefully we can recruit some more defensive players because we are gonna lose a lot of talent on defense. Basically, we lost on our O-line and gave up to many rushing yards.
We will be stacked on Offense with Gurshall returning for their sophomore years and even if we lose Murray to the NFL, we will still have great QB's with Jr Hutson Mason who they say could start for any other SEC school. Also we have ESPNU Top 150 QB commit Bryce Ramsey from Camden County High in GA. Saban was recruiting him heavelly but he would not go to Alabama. He is praised by NFL scouts. We should have a great offense, but it will take a few years for us to rebuild on defense. Overall though, we can't blame anyone for losing the biggest game in my lifetime. We gotta rebuild and ultimately, I believe. WE WILL BE BACK.
