Georgia Bulldogs: 3 Impressive UGA Players From Week 1

Well, Clemson is legit.  Despite Georgia losing 38-35 at Clemson, several playmakers showed up for the Bulldogs and reminded the Bulldog faithful that all is not lost.

1.  RB Todd Gurley

Gurley continues to prove why he is one of the best runningbacks in college football.  Six minutes into the game, Todd Gurley took a pitch from Aaron Murray, ran threw a hole in the right side of the offensive line, and exploded 75 yards for a touchdown.  He suffered a thigh injury shortly afterward and was taken to the UGA locker room.  Gurley came back in the game and rushed for a total of 156 yards on 12 carries and 2 TDs with a remarkable 12.8 yards per carry.  This guy is one tough stud.

2.  FB Quayvon Hicks

Quayvon Hicks will be the next great fullback at Georgia.  Hicks played a heck of a game and brought back memories of former Georgia FB Brannan Southerland.  The powerful and physical Hicks had 3 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown.  He can block as well.  Hicks, a 6-2, 257 pound FB from Blackshear, GA, was one of the most impressive players in Georgia's week 1 loss.

3.  ILB Ramik Wilson

Ramik Wilson certainly showed flashes of brilliance on Saturday night in Clemson.  In his first career start, the 6-2, 232 pound junior from Tampa, FL, had 13 total tackles.  Hopefully, the athletic Wilson can fill the hole left by Alec Ogletree's departure at inside linebacker.
